Impact is key

Invest-NL is a so-called impact investor that invests in sustainable and innovative projects that contribute to the sustainable Netherlands of tomorrow. By removing bottlenecks for growth and scaling up, they increase the willingness to invest. The total committed investment volume in 2021 amounted to € 241 million. The total committed capital of Invest-NL amounts to € 1.7 billion.

Invest-NL creates impact by not only financing, but also by providing advice and thorough research into making business cases financeable. Maximizing social return is always central here. Invest-NL currently focuses on six areas: carbon neutral economy, the biobased and circular economy, agrifood, deep tech, life sciences & health and investment funds.

Impact as evidence

No shortage of results. In the annual report CF Report – in collaboration with Report Company – demonstrates the social value of Invest-NL on the basis of numerous investment and impact data, investment strategy and business cases. Here, we also linked the six focus areas to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations in order to make the impact of the organization even more manifest.

Online reporting platform

Invest-NL also asked CF Report to develop the online reporting platform. The platform contains the most important parts of the annual report summarized in an attractively designed one pager website. The impact data and the long-term impact of Invest-NL receive extra attention here. Visitors are able to access or download the interactive PDF from the platform. An interesting and impactful social media campaign was created to make the report visible and to surprise stakeholders.
